CBS is expected to pick up a crime drama starring LL Cool J as an undercover cop, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The trade magazine, citing unnamed sources, said that CBS plans to put in a six episode midseason order for The Man. The show was created by CSI's Anthony Zuiker and has shot a pilot; however, substantial portions of the premise are understood to have been reworked and a new pilot would be shot before the end of the year.
