Ryan Seacrest has been announced as the presenter of this year's Emmy Awards.
The 32-year-old American Idol host will front the awards ceremony when it airs on the Fox network in September.
In a statement, Mark Darnell, president of alternative entertainment at Fox, described Seacrest as "a consummate host of major live broadcast events and a proven talent who always makes it look easy", adding that this made him the "perfect choice" to host the awards.
"(He) appeals to a broad audience ... so he should serve as a magnet for attracting a diverse array of viewers to our Emmy telecast," added Emmy representative Dick Askin.
The ceremony will be broadcast on September 16.
