Fall schedules: NBC confirms lineup
Published Monday, May 13 2002, 19:12 BST | By James Welsh
Broadcast network NBC has unveiled its primetime show lineup for launch in fall this year. In addition to some reshuffles, the network is placing five new shows - three comedies and two dramas.
The network's executives acknowledged that the season to-date has been a good one for the network, which houses some of the most-watched shows on broadcast television, such as Friends and Will & Grace. NBC even claims that the existing was so strong that three pilots which had been expected to premiere in the fall will be pushed back.
At a glance
Viewers won't see any changes on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays. The network will be introducing new shows into the Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday schedules, and also further tweaking what it calls the "Must-See TV" (Thursday) night, by inserting the hit show Scrubs at 8:30p, and moving Just Shoot Me back to a comedy block on Tuesday nights at 8:30p. Weakest Link has been dropped altogether from the primetime lineup although it is expected to return with filler episodes if needed.
