NBC to yank shows from iTunes

NBC Universal is to pull its programming from iTunes when its current contract expires in December.
The New York Times reports that NBC Universal cited an inability to reach an agreement with Apple over pricing as being the primary reason for its decision; however, the paper added that an anonymous "person familiar with the matter" said that concerns over digital rights management and packaging of video bundles were also raised.
Yesterday, NBC Universal and News Corp unveiled Hulu.com, a joint-venture video sharing site designed to compete with Google Video and the Google-owned YouTube. Prominently displayed on the site's holding page - it launches in beta in October - are logos from NBC shows including 30 Rock and Friday Night Lights.
