'The Closer' pulls strong ratings

The Closer has once again topped the weekly cable ratings in America, pulling an impressing 7.8m viewers - up on last week and coming ahead of a top ten-ranked broadcast show.August 27 - Sept 2

CBS dominated the broadcast top ten, with reruns of Two and a Half Men and the network's various incarnations of CSI placing well. Tuesday night's Power of 10, a game show hosted by Drew Carey, was watched by 9.9m viewers. Big Brother 8, also on Tuesday, pulled a more modest 8.1m in its 9pm slot, with 8m flipping to Fox for a House rerun.
NBC and ABC were nowhere to be seen in the broadcast top ten - a new Last Coming Standing on Wednesday had 6.4m viewers, while ABC's Just For Laughs placed 12th overall.
