The MTV show was the second-most watched cable telecast last week, being beaten only by TNT hit The Closer the previous Monday - which itself set a new ratings record for a series episode on basic cable.
Other notable appearances in the cable ranker this week include a High School Musical 2 rerun with a respectable 5m viewers and another TNT favourite, Saving Grace, which had 4.8m in its post-Closer slot.
On broadcast, the ranker is dominated by sport. NBC took the top 4 spots with NFL coverage on Thursday and Sunday, while Fox's post-game OT show placed a respectable sixth. CBS made four appearances in the top ten, with 60 Minutes notably achieving 10.8m viewers before NBC's NFL coverage on Sunday night.
