Michelle Ryan shuns 'Bionic' research
Published Friday, Sep 21 2007, 09:20 BST | By Ben Rawson-Jones

The former EastEnders regular explained that she wanted to experience the effects along with her character Jaime Sommers, who has her legs, an eye, arm and an ear replaced with ultra-strong bionic limbs after a car crash.
Ryan told Sci-Fi Wire: "I sort of feel like each stage Jaime learns something new, I do. So I specifically sort of have not done that [research], because I feel like Jaime is ... trying to deal with her sister... [and] she's trying to deal with a boyfriend that wasn't entirely honest with her. She's learning as she goes along. So I feel like each new step, that's when I'll sort of sit down and work out when Jaime deals with something new for the first time."
Bionic Woman debuts on September 26 on NBC in the US.
