Warner Bros have won the rights to make a Stateside adaptation of ITV1's cult series Eleventh Hour.
The thriller, which starred Patrick Stewart in its British incarnation, will be produced by Jerry Bruckheiemer and overseen by CBS in a "multimillion dollar deal", according to Variety. The trade journal also reports that a $4 million pilot will be followed by a further thirteen episodes.
In the four-part 2006 British version, made by Granada and written by Stephen Gallagher, Star Trek: The Next Generation star Stewart played Professor Ian Hood - a special advisor to the government on scientific matters. Alongside Extras actress Ashley Jensen as Special Branch operative Rachel Young, they tackled such issues as global warming, viral outbreaks and cloning.
