Duchovny: 'X-Files' better than Beatles

The TV star argued that the sci-fi series lasted longer than the Liverpool rockers and was more famous in its pomp.
He told WENN: "Come on - we were better than the Beatles. They went from 1962 to 1970 - eight years. They couldn't even make it to a ninth year, like us.
"There was a lot of intense interest in The X-Files. And that was a time before everyone was famous."
Duchovny starred alongside Gillian Anderson as FBI agent Fox Mulder in the TV series, which ran between 1993 and 2002.
