Will Smith is developing a sitcom based on his hit 2005 movie Hitch.
The actor will be executive producer of the TV version of the comedy, in which he played a "professional" date doctor. However, he will not star in the programme himself.
The project is backed by Smith's production company Overbrook Entertainment and is expected to be pitched to US TV networks in the near future.
