'CSI' fans try to persuade Fox to stay

The finale of 'CSI' series five

Fans of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation have launched an online campaign to persuade Jorja Fox not to quit the show.

The actress has announced that she is leaving her role as Sara Sidle after seven years in order to pursue other interests.

But DollarsForSense.com is urging fans to download flyers emblazoned with the words 'Keep Jorja Fox on CSI' and send them to the show's producers.

The group has also flown banners and sent balloons to network CBS to express their unhappiness at Fox's departure.

The website reads: "In response to her widely reported exit from CSI, the cause of which seems to be a failure on the part of the producers and Fox to reach a contract agreement, Dollars for Sense was started by fans of Jorja Fox in an effort to keep her on CSI."

Producers claim they have already received over 3,000 letters from fans of the 39-year-old's character.

Fox's last appearance will air on CBS on November 8.
