ABC has put in an order for nine more episodes of Private Practice, bringing the Grey's Anatomy spin-off up to a full 22 episode season order.
The series has emerged as the most-watched freshman show in the crucially-important adults 18-49 demographic, comfortably establishing a female-skewing audience in its 9pm Wednesday slot against NBC's Bionic Woman, which tends to skew male.
Private joins The CW's Gossip Girl and the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory, both of which have already received full season orders.
