NBC revives 'Zip' with Weber to star
Published Wednesday, Oct 24 2007, 09:26 BST | By Dave West
NBC is pressing ahead with making new comedy Zip and has signed Steven Weber as its star.
There will be a half-hour pilot of the show from Universal Media Studios, Reveille and Catapult with Mark Rizzo, Michael Benson and Marc Abrams writing.
A pilot by the same writers last year failed but the project has been put back into development. The story is based around Trip Stringer (Weber) who struggles to get by with no money in Beverly Hills.
Richard Shepard will direct and Benson, Abrams and Rizzo will executive produce.
