CBS readies early run of 'Big Brother'

CBS is planning to get Big Brother on the air early next year.
With the WGA strike now into day three and a total absence of ground-giving either by writers or producers, Variety reports that CBS quietly started casting for the show last week.
Usually, Big Brother airs over three months in the summer. However, with production on many scripted shows now shutting down due to a lack of available scripts, it is likely that broadcast networks will turn to reality and news programming to fill gaps should the strike last into 2008.
