FX prepares box-less rebrand

FX in the US is to dump its white-box version of the iconic 20th Century Fox logo device as part of a wider rebrand scheduled to go on air next week.
According to MediaWeek, the channel plans to adopt the tagline "FX: There Is No Box" - and because its current logo includes the Fox searchlights set against a white box, the logo device will have to go.
FX Networks president John Landgraf told the magazine that the new tagline aims to present the channel to viewers as the home of "a certain kind of cliché-busting quality".
The rebrand will go hand in hand with promotion for the cable channel across News Corp's US media assets.
