'Sopranos', 'The Office' up for WGA Awards

HBO shows The Sopranos and The Wire face Showtime's Dexter, NBC's Friday Night Lights and AMC's Mad Men for Best Dramatic Series.
Meanwhile, HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage and Flight Of The Conchords will battle it out with NBC's The Office and 30 Rock in the Best Comedy category.
Mad Men was also nominated for Best New Series, alongside Conchords, FX's Damages, ABC's Pushing Daisies and Comedy Central's The Sarah Silverman Programme.
The awards will be handed out on February 9, with simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
WGA bosses insisted that the current strike will not affect the event.
