US premium cable channel Showtime is to air Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the States next year.
The channel has picked up the rights to the first season of 8episodes and the recently-greenlighted second season of 12 episodes.
The Tiger Aspect series, which is based on the real-life diaries of a British call girl, gave ITV2 its highest-ever viewing figures for an original commission earlier this year.
Chris Albrecht, head of global media practice at Tiger Aspect parent IMG, told Variety that Showtime chief Bob Greenblatt was particularly impressed with Billie Piper's performance in the lead role.
