'The 4400' axed after four seasons
Published Thursday, Dec 20 2007, 01:13 GMT | By Neil Wilkes

The decision by the USA Network came on the back of a gradual ratings slide over the last two years.
Writing on The 4400's official messageboards, executive producer Scott Peters said: "We’ve had a great time bringing you this story and submersing you in the lives of all these incredible characters. But at least we got to go out with a bang! I wish we could go on forever, but the party has come to an end."
The broadcaster has also axed sci-fi series The Dead Zone after six seasons.
