'Thunderbirds' join TechTV lineup

The classic 1960s hit series Thunderbirds, created by Gerry Anderson, will be joining the lineup of programming on 24 hour technology cable channel TechTV.
TechTV has bought the rights to 32 episodes of the show from Carlton International, and will be adding educational facts to the shows as part of its strategy to provide "entertainment-based technology programming."
Greg Drebin, Senior VP of programming and production for TechTV, said: "Thunderbirds is the type of programming that viewers expect from TechTV -- programming that is entertaining and fun, but with a connection to technology. While Thunderbirds is not a purely technology driven show, the futuristic setting, the sci-fi theme and nostalgic value all make it a perfect complement to our programming mix."
