MSNBC's Matthews hospitalised

MSNBC's Chris Matthews, who presents the news channel's Hardball show, was hospitalised with malaria late yesterday, NBC has confirmed.
Matthews is expected to leave Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington D.C. later this week, and is expected to return to his show "shortly".
Mike Barnacle will be guest host of Hardball, which airs at 9pm ET on MSNBC, until Matthews returns.
