Adina Pitt, Nickelodeon's vice president of acquisitions, is becoming Cartoon Network's vice president of content acquisitions and co-productions.

She will buy pre-produced series, specials, movies and short-form content for Cartoon Network and Boomerang and report to chief content officer Robert Sorcher.

He said: "Adina has a sterling reputation within the international television community and is identified as one of the best in the industry, which makes her the ideal choice to head up acquisitions and co-productions for Cartoon Network.

"She's extremely savvy about brand positioning, and has a keen eye for finding properties that build upon a network's consumer identity."
