NBC Universal sues 'Law & Order' creator
Published Tuesday, Jan 29 2008, 16:20 GMT | By Dave West

It filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Friday over a clause in a 2004 contract that appears to mean Wolf would get paid even if the series was cancelled.
NBCU is seeking legal clarification on the matter though it believes it has the potential to cost it "millions of dollars".
The network said in a statement: "NBC and Universal Media Studios value their relationship with Dick Wolf. This dispute relates solely to a disagreement concerning specific terms of the contract between them."
It has just ordered three more months worth of the show as Wolf is working despite the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.
