Flavor Flav has landed a role as a former convict in sitcom series Under One Roof.
Thirteen half-hour episodes are being made for US channel MyNetworkTV.
Flav's character, Calvester Hill, is an ex-criminal who moves in with his rich brother Walter, played by Kelly Perine, and brings his alternative lifestyle with him.
MyNetworkTC president Greg Meidel said: "A classic fish-out-of-water story, Under One Roof will be a hilarious addition to the MyNetworkTV lineup."
The show has been written by non-Writers Guild of America members and is already in production in Toronto to air in the spring.
It is directed by Brian Roberts and written by Danielle Quarles and Gelila Asres.
It is being executive produced by Claude Brooks and Darryl J Quarles and produced by their respective companies, C to the B Productions and Qtopia Entertainment.
The commission marks a return to scripted programming for MyNetworkTV. It launched as scripted-only in September 2006 but abandoned the policy for reality and theatrical output last year.
