The show is in production for E! Entertainment Television in the US and expected to air in the summer. It will see the star get used to living as a single mother.
Lisa Berger, original programming and development chief for E!, said: "At the core of this series is a resilient single mum who is trying to get her life back on track."
It will be produced by ex-American Idol host Ryan Seacrest with E!. The channel has also ordered a second series of Keeping Up With the Kardashians from Ryan Seacrest Productions.
Confirmation of the Richards series comes after a court ruled her children by Sheen could feature in a show.
