Hilton will seek best friend in new show

Paris Hilton will look for a new best friend in a reality competition series for MTV.

Twenty aspiring It-girls will attempt to prove their loyalty, stamina and "girl politics" skills in Paris Hilton's My New BFF.

After ten episodes Hilton will pick a winner to join her in LA. The successful candidate is promised "an all-access pass to the VIP section of the VIP section and life lessons from the master of contemporary Hollywood celebrity".

MTV president of entertainment Brian Graden said: "Paris is one of the most-searched icons on the Web and has been the focus of everyone's attention from TMZ to Forbes. Now MTV will reveal the life of Paris, turn her fans into friends and see what it takes to get close to one of the world's most well-known personalities."

Prospective competitors can upload audition videos to ParisBFF.com and an online vote will decide who makes the show.
