Sitcom Mike Birbiglia's Secret Public Journal has been picked up for a pilot by CBS.
The show - about the home life of a Brooklyn stand-up comedian - is loosely based on the real experiences of Birbiglia, who is a stand-up and will play the lead role.
The comedian created the show with former Late Night with Conan O'Brien writer Andrew Secunda.
Public Journal was originally developed 18 months ago for NBC. Speaking then, Secunda said: "The crux of the show is the conflict between his unconventional dream of being a stand-up comic and his family and girlfriend, who are always edging him toward a more safe direction."
