'Friends' writer wins pilot sitcom order

CBS has ordered pilot episodes of two half-hour comedies.
Oldyweds is written and executive-produced by Shana Goldberg-Meehan (Friends, Joey). The main characters are a mid-30s couple who get engaged then realise their busy lives will make marriage difficult.
The second pilot is of an untitled sitcom centring on a separated middle-class father, his children, ex-partner and love life. Ed Yeager (Still Standing) has written the episode and is executive producing with Ric Swartzlander (8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter).
