'Ladette to Lady'
Donald Trump's production firm and RDF USA will remake the format, originally for ITV1, as an eight-part series.
The show will be given an as-yet-undecided new title but the format will remain similar.
MTV has said it wants to make more worthy "aspirational and inspirational" shows. Another in the pipeline, along the same lines as Lady, is From Gs to Gents.
MTV Networks entertainment president Brian Graden said the broadcaster's target audience was not more socially conscious: "We began to see in our research about three years ago that this next MTV generation is actually very empowered and highly functioning."
