'Your Mother' producer gets comedy pilot

ABC has put two pilots into production, including a new show from How I Met Your Mother executive producer Dave Hemingson.

The comedic drama follows a law school graduate with a working-class background who scores a "job of a lifetime" in Los Angeles. Hemingson, who also worked on American Dad, is writing and executive producing.

Meanwhile, The New Adventures of Old Christine star Hamish Linklater and his off-screen partner Jessica Goldberg, a screenwriter, have won an order for Prince of Motor City. The show is described as a gothic family soap, set in the Detroit motor industry and inspired by Hamlet.

Linklater will not star in the show but has co-written it with Goldberg, who will also co-executive produce.
