Samaire Armstrong is to be demoted from series regular to guest star on Dirty Sexy Money.
An insider told TV Guide that the actress's contract option would not be renewed for the second season. However, Armstrong may still appear as a guest star should her schedule allow it.
Dirty Sexy Money revolves around Peter Krause's lawyer taking over his father's role as personal legal representative to the wealthy Darling family. Armstrong plays Juliet Darling, a spoiled twentysomething actress, on the ABC series.
Known for starring in The OC, Armstrong checked into rehab last year to deal with "personal issues". She continued to film Dirty Sexy Money while receiving treatment at a Los Angeles outpatient facility.
