CBS News 'to partner with CNN'
Published Tuesday, Apr 8 2008, 11:12 BST | By Dave West

The New York Times reported that CBS News and Sports president Sean McManus was in talks with CNN International president Jim Walton over the newsgathering deal. CBS would pay to use CNN's resources, meaning a reduction in CBS operations, said the report.
However, a CBS spokeswoman said: "We are extremely satisfied with and proud of our newsgathering operation. No outside arrangement is being negotiated."
The two broadcasters have discussed sharing arrangements several times in recent years, for example combining efforts in Baghdad, but nothing has ever materialised.
