'Jingles' reality show on the way in US

Competitors will vie to come up with the best advertising jingle on a new reality series under development in the US.

Jingles, from Survivor producer Mark Burnett, is expected to start in the summer on CBS.

Hour-long instalments will see the tunes written and performed for a panel of judges. Each week's winning jingle will be put into a real commercial.

Burnett's other creations include Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad.
