The BBC's US channel announced yesterday that it plans to show the two original series of the BBC Three comedy from August.
The news comes days after Gavin & Stacey picked up awards for best comedy performance (for James Corden) and programme of the year at the BAFTA TV Awards.
Meanwhile, several reports suggest NBC is lining up a localised version of the show.
