'Charmed' actress mulls new comedy role
Alyssa Milano is in negotiations to play the lead in a comedy pilot for ABC.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Charmed actress is likely to take the roll of a woman in her 30s trying to get her life back from a controlling family, boss and friends.

Elsewhere in US pilot castings, Nathan Fillion, who has appeared in Desperate Housewives, is looking to join comedic drama Castle. He would play a mystery novelist assisting the NYPD in the show, in production for ABC.

Aunjanue Ellis (Justice), meanwhile, has joined ABC drama pilot Prince Of Motor City - a Hamlet-inspired soap set in the Detroit car industry.

Finally, Tom Hollander (The Soloist) has signed up to CBS drama presentation The Meant to Be's. The show is about a dead woman who has to return to Earth and change things.
