Beckham to appear on 'Sesame Street'

The footballer was asked to appear on the long-running programme to teach puppet star Elmo and viewers a new word.
According to The Sun, he chose to explain the word 'persistence' for the cameo, which was shot last week.
A source said: "David has always been a huge fan of the show. He was more than happy to go on. He had a great time filming. A real laugh."
Stars including Robert De Niro, Jamie Foxx, REM and James Blunt are among previous guests on the series.
