Film actress Catherine O'Hara (Beetlejuice) is in negotiations to take the lead role in comedic drama pilot Good Behaviour, as castings continue for shows in production in the US.

The show, from Veronica Mars writer Rob Thomas, is about a family of criminals, with the mother figure - who would be played by O'Hara - attempting to change their ways.

Meanwhile, Warren Christie (October Road) and Andie MacDowell (Four Weddings and a Funeral) have joined drama pilot Prince of Motor City.

The show - based on Hamlet - is about a philosophy professor (Christie) forced to return to his home city of Detroit to run the family car firm. MacDowell has been cast as the professor's mother.

Both shows are in production for ABC.
