'Angel' writer to run new US horror drama

Angel writer Jeffrey Bell has been hired as showrunner for Harper's Island, the serialised horror drama in production in the US.
Bell was also co-executive producer for Angel and a writer on Alias. Jon Turteltaub, who directed the pilot of Harper's, will also executive produce.
A series of the show, which is currently being recast, is being made for CBS. Only Irish actress Elaine Cassidy will be carried over from the pilot.
