The CW has unveiled details of the four new shows destined for its Sunday night lineup.
For the first time, the network has contracted out its programming for the night to independent producer Media Rights Capital. The new shows from MRC will air in a block titled "CW Sunday Night" from September 14.
In Harm's Way is an hour-long reality show about people who work in dangerous jobs, such as avalanche hunters and tunnel diggers. Ten episodes will air in a 6.30pm slot.
Half-hour family comedy Surviving Suburbia comes from Kevin Abbott (Roseanne), who described the show as similar to Roseanne, but told from the husband's perspective. Thirteen episodes are in production for a 7.30pm slot.
Valentine, Inc, to air at 8pm, is a romantic comedy from Kevin Murphy (Reaper) which sees Greek gods Aphrodite and Eros living on Earth, running a dating firm.
The fourth newcomer, a soap-style drama called Easy Money, is scheduled for 9pm and centres on a family of loan sharks. The mother character runs the business while one of her sons is going off it.
Each of the scripted shows has been given a 13-episode order. MRC TV president Keith Samples said they had budgets similar to "mid range" network series.
