'Canterbury's Law'
Based on a New Zealand series, the show is about a family of criminals and the mother character trying to set them straight. Robinson has taken the role of Watts, a policeman and family friend.
Elsewhere, Nicole Ari Parker has been given a lead role in Never Better, another comedy in development for ABC.
Parker's character Allison is the wife of recovering alcoholic Keith, who is attempting to stay off the drink and be a good father.
