'Rescue Me' gets series of mini episodes
Published Tuesday, Jun 3 2008, 18:35 BST | By Dave West

The FX comedy's fifth season, previously due to air this year, was delayed by the writers' strike and is being held back until April.
The channel has lined up five ten-minute shows to help fill the gap. They will be broadcast from June 24 and feature all the Rescue Me stars including Denis Leary.
"Fans of Rescue Me have come to expect their favourite show to run during the summer, but because of the delay in production due to the writers' strike that wasn't a possibility," said John Landgraf, FX president.
The episodes will be available online the day after their FX debut.
