"Door is open" for Spears sitcom return

Spears has twice appeared on the US sitcom as dizzy receptionist Abby, the girlfriend of Harris's character Barney.
"The door is open for her," Harris told People. "We would love [guest stars] who get in the show's world to stick around if they want to... but I don't know what the writers have planned."
Harris noted that Spears's character, who secretly admires Ted Mosby (Josh Radner), managed to get his address so he "wouldn't be surprised if she showed up again".
