Amber Tamblyn joins new US cop show

Actress Amber Tamblyn has signed up to The Unusuals, a police drama comedy in production in the US.

The Joan Of Arcadia star will play intelligent Detective Casey Shraeger in the pilot presentation for ABC. Lost actor Harold Perrineau has already been lined up for the show.

Elsewhere, Morris Chestnut (The Game Plan) has been cast in ABC drama pilot The Prince Of Motor City. The show will see philosophy academic Billy forced to return to Detroit to run his family's car firm, causing him to meet up with an old girlfriend. Chestnut will play the girlfriend's current partner.

In other castings, Stacy Keibler (What About Brian) has joined ABC Family drama Samurai Girl; and Jane Lynch and Kathleen Rose Perkins have signed to ABC comedy pilot Never Better.

For Fox, Joy Bryant, Sienna Guillory, Richie Coster, Nelson Lee and Omar Metwally have joined two-hour drama pilot Virtuality.
