Published Tuesday, Jun 10 2008, 10:09 BST | By Dave West

"It just got cancelled," she told reporters at a Los Angeles charity event at the weekend.
The second season of the drama was cut short at seven episodes because of the writers' strike, and it has not achieved great ratings in the US. Cox stars in and produces the show with husband David Arquette.
Dirt has aired on Five US and Five Life - now Fiver - in the UK.
