The former Spice Girl will star in the new series, which will begin production for Nickelodeon later this year.
She said the show will be similar to the Disney Channel hit, which stars Miley Cyrus as a schoolgirl with a secret double life as a popstar.
Brown told Heart FM: "I've written my own sitcom that's just been picked up by Nickelodeon that I start at Christmas.
"I'm the star of it. It's a bit like Hannah Montana, but the black version."
