Sarah Paulson is female lead in 'Cupid'

Paulson will play Claire Allen in the pilot of Cupid. The show sees Trevor Hale (Bobby Cannavale) under the impression he is the Roman god of love, attempting to matchmake couples. Allen is a psychiatrist specialising in relationships.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner (28 Weeks Later) has been cast in police comedy drama The Unusuals as Detective Joe Walsh. The show is also a pilot for ABC.
Finally, Sharon Lawrence (NYPD Blue) has joined ABC drama pilot The Prince Of Motor City, in which well-educated Billy (Warren Christie) has to return to his Detroit home town. Lawrence will play Dorothy, the mother of Billy's ex-girlfriend Meg.
