Heroes star Zachary Quinto will play a young Spock in the upcoming Star Trek movie from Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams.
The 30-year-old actor, who played Sylar in the first series of the superhero drama, will be joined in the movie by original Spock actor Leonard Nimoy according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie will be the eleventh big screen instalment of Star Trek and is reported to be a reboot of the franchise following the box office disappointment of the last two films. Producers are said to be trying to incorporate Captain James T. Kirk actor William Shatner in the film, despite the character's on screen death in the seventh movie.
