'Heroes' to be turned into graphic novel

Heroes will be immortalised in the form of a series of hardcover graphic novels published by DC Comics.

The stories contained within the novels will all have been originally published on the show's official website, hosted by its broadcaster NBC. Renowned artist Tim Sale will be contributing work to the project, following the images he created on the television show for the character of Isaac, the prophetic painter. The novels are set to be published towards the end of the year.

Tim Kring, creator of Heroes, hailed the news: "We are very excited to be releasing the compilation of Heroes comics through DC Comics. Until now, most of these stories have only been available on NBC.com. To have this first printing coming from DC, the premier publisher of comic books, is a dream come true."
