The actor - better known as politician Nathan Petrelli on the hit US show - is married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines, who spoke out against the Iraq war in 2003. During a trip to the UK, the Texas band's frontwoman explained: "Just so you know, we're on the good side with y'all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."
Natalie faced a huge backlash following her criticism of George W. Bush. Her group's record sales fell, some radio stations refused to play her songs, and sinister threats made her family live in fear.
"It changes you when you have police protection and your wife gets death threats," Adrian is quoted by The Sun as saying. "Our eldest son, Jackson, got used to having the FBI around and a police car in our driveway. At that point I reacted as a spouse and got angry."
