The Hollywood Reporter claims that the Heroes spinoff will feature an instalment written and directed by self-confessed fan Eli Roth, best known as the creative force behind the recent Hostel movies. Dougherty, who co-wrote the blockbuster Superman Returns, will also be penning an episode.
Cult Clerks director Kevin Smith will helm the premiere of the new series, which is set to debut in April 2008. Each episode will feature a new character and viewers will ultimately choose one new 'Hero' to join the cast of the main show.
