Peter wakes up in hospital following the incident, but Nathan is quick to deny his recollection of events. Peter gets a further shock when his mother visits him and reveals that his father was a manic depressive who died from suicide and not a heart attack, as he had originally been led to believe. Refusing to accept that he too may suffer from the same condition, Peter takes to the roof once more and demands the truth from Nathan - but receives a different answer than he had expected.
Meanwhile, having teleported to New York, Hiro finds a comic with his story in it - written by Isaac. Eventually he finds Isaac's apartment but is shocked by what he finds - then is even more stunned when time deals a revelation of epic proportions.
Mohinder continues his search for the truth behind his father's work, finding an unexpected ally in Eden, his neighbour. Having chased off an intruder, the pair stumble across a device that may hold the key to what they want.
Elsewhere, detective Matt Parkinson becomes a suspect himself when his newly-discovered powers provide a canny tip-off in a serial murder case. Niki struggles to come to terms with what happened in her flat and Claire continues to question the identity of her birth parents.
